Our Privacy Policy

Ringing Cedars Press North America believes that your personal information—including your order history, phone number, email and residential addresses belongs to you. We collect this type of information only to serve you when you provide it to us, but we do not rent or sell your information to third parties.

Security

Our Online Store uses Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption on all web pages where personal information is required. To make purchases from our Online Store, you must use an SSL-enabled browser. Doing so protects the confidentiality of your personal and credit card information by encrypting it while it’s transmitted over the Internet. Your credit card information is not stored on our website - and it is flushed from the checkout page the instant you click on the proceed button.

Disclosure to Outside Parties

We work with reputable third party suppliers, such as fulfillment services (companies that warehouse and ship your order) and freight companies (mainly USPS and FedEX) to assist us in delivering your order to you. In these instances, we will provide your personal information to those third parties only so that they can perform these services. In addition, we may be required to disclose your personal information to third parties based on a legal obligation; however we will only accommodate these requests when it is determined to be legally necessary in the reasonable opinion of our counsel.

What We Collect and Why

Our primary goal in collecting personal information—including your order history, phone number, email and residential address—is to provide you with a smooth, efficient, customized shopping experience. It allows us to refer to our records when, for instance, you ask us "when an order was shipped?, or to "re-ship to the same address."

When You Request a Free eBook Report or Subscribe to our News Updates

When you request a free eBook report, we ask for your name and email address (to which we will send the report link), plus other information (should you wish to provide it), such as your interest in readers' conferences and workshops, or in the opportunity of connecting with other Ringing Cedars readers in your area. This information will be used solely for the purpose of evaluating the collective interest in such an event or workshop in or near your region. If we decide to hold such an event or workshop, and if you have registered your interest, we may send you advance notice and an invitation.

If you register for our News Updates, you may receive an occasional announcement of special offers, new releases and notification of upcoming events related to the Ringing Cedars Series.

If you register for "anything interesting", you may receive an occasional announcement related to other uplifting projects we are working on. To ensure that we are providing materials of interest to you, we may monitor whether you actually open our emails or click on any links included.

To do this we use a standard feature of HTML-based email messages that include a sensor that is activated when the email message is opened. This sensor simply communicates the date and time the message was opened. You will receive a functioning sensor only if your computer is enabled to accept HTML email. This in no way gives us access to your computer or emails, nor does it communicate any other information to us.

You may also unregister at any time from our email program by clicking on the unregister link at the bottom of any email message, or unregister area at the bottom of the homepage of this website. All unregister requests will be honored within 5—10 business days.

When You Contact Customer Service

When you contact our Customer Service department, we use the phone number, mailing and email addresses you have provided, together with comments generated on previous contacts to help us assist you. We may also pass your feedback along to other departments within our company in order to improve our services. We constantly strive to improve our service.

Updates to this Policy

We reserve the right to update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of these updates. In addition, feel free to check back to this website for any additional updates.

Discounts

We offer:
  • A discounted price on Complete Sets of the 9 titles in the Ringing Cedars Series.

Returns

Applies only to items purchased directly from Ringing Cedars North America. All sales are final. Books are not returnable, and may not be redeemed for cash. At our discretion we may, under certain circumstances, and only by prior arrangement, accept for return an unopened and/or undamaged order. All such cases will attract a restocking fee of $1.50 per book or item. Note: Goods that you have received in a damaged condition or with a manufacturing fault may be replaced at our expense, provided:

  • You purchased the goods yourself directly from us.
  • You notify us within 7 days of receiving the goods.
  • You immediately return to us (at our expense) such damaged goods, if requested by us or one of our nominated representatives, such as a Fulfillment House or Shipping agent, contracted by us to fulfill your order.

Returned items may only be exchanged for a replacement of the original item.

Refunds: Please check your order carefully prior to checkout to make sure it is accurate. Your order cannot be cancelled or modified once it has been placed in our system. Once an order has shipped we cannot offer a refund on the packing or shipping charges. If you discover after you have placed the order that you have made a mistake, your best recourse is to advise us immediately by phone - we may be able to catch it before it ships - however this may not always be possible - as our fulfillment operators are extremely efficient. Orders are often pre-packed and can be shipped within minutes of receipt of your order.

Calling us immediately (within PST business hours) or emailing us outside those hours - offers the best chance of stopping the order from shipping.

Otherwise your only other recourse is to NOT accept the package when it is delivered - instead return it unopened to the return address indicated, and mark it "ordered in error". When and provided the returned items are received by us undamaged, you will be offered a refund of the purchase price of the books, but you will not be refunded any packing or shipping costs. Either way - please advise us of your mistake.
